New Roof Installation Built for Long-Term Performance
A roof replacement project with ApexShield in Bellerose Terrace, NY begins long before the first shingle is pulled. Our pre-replacement consultation involves a comprehensive structural assessment of the existing roofing system, including the condition of the decking beneath the current surface layers. This assessment determines whether full or partial decking replacement is required, identifies any ventilation deficiencies that should be corrected during the replacement, and provides the technical foundation for our material recommendation. We evaluate your property's pitch, exposure, and architectural style before presenting options that balance performance, aesthetics, and long-term value for your specific situation.
Material selection is one of the most consequential decisions in a roof replacement project, and we invest significant time in helping each client make an informed choice. Architectural asphalt shingles remain the most widely selected option in Bellerose Terrace, NY due to their combination of durability, visual appeal, and competitive cost. For property owners prioritizing maximum longevity, impact resistance, or energy efficiency, we also offer metal roofing systems, designer shingle lines, and flat roof membranes appropriate to the building's specific slope and use profile. Every material we install is sourced from certified manufacturers whose products qualify for the warranty coverage we provide.
The replacement process itself follows a disciplined sequence. Existing roofing layers are removed down to the decking, which is then inspected board by board for rot, delamination, or fastener failure. Damaged sections are replaced before new underlayment is installed across the entire deck surface. Drip edge, ice and water shield at vulnerable transition points, and flashing at all penetrations are installed according to manufacturer specifications before the surface material is applied. Ridge vents are installed or replaced to ensure proper ventilation balance. The site is cleaned daily and magnetically swept for fasteners before our crew departs each afternoon.
